The cabinet expressed concern over disturbances in the Sanaag region, particularly in southern Ceerigaabo, where organized groups, allegedly backed by the Mogadishu administration, are reportedly attempting to disrupt the democratic process and the forthcoming elections. The government vowed to defend the region's stability with the support of local communities and urged residents to remain vigilant against any threats to their unity and peace.
In response to foreign interference, the cabinet issued a strong warning against external forces, specifically mentioning the presence of Egyptian troops in Mogadishu, which it claimed are pursuing their own interests rather than those of Somalia. The international community was urged to disregard Mogadishu's attempts to destabilize Somaliland, reaffirming that the Somaliland government is the only legitimate authority to address issues concerning the region. The cabinet called on all Somaliland citizens to unite in defending the nation's sovereignty and stability.
