Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, has claimed responsibility for killing over 25 Israeli officers and soldiers and wounding around 130 since Israel's ground operations began in southern Lebanon. These figures are part of the latest escalations in a conflict that has intensified following Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.

In a series of ongoing attacks, Hezbollah has targeted several Israeli military sites along the border, using rocket fire and anti-tank missiles. The group's leadership has stated that their operations are in response to Israel's continued strikes on Lebanese villages and strategic locations. On the Israeli side, there have been heavy retaliations, including airstrikes on Hezbollah's infrastructure, leading to widespread destruction in southern Lebanon and around Beirut.

According to Israeli military sources, at least 15 Hezbollah militants have been targeted in Israeli operations, while Hezbollah continues to assert significant casualties on Israeli forces. As of today, tensions between both sides remain high, with no immediate signs of de-escalation. Observers fear that this conflict could further expand if no diplomatic intervention occurs soon.

The United Nations and several countries have called for a ceasefire, urging both Hezbollah and Israel to halt hostilities and avoid further civilian casualties. However, with each side claiming victories and losses, a peaceful resolution remains uncertain.
